Wednesday March 20 2013
I had an appointment in Mexico with Dr. Garcia at 10:00 for a periodontal cleaning today. Last night Jan, Judy and Ken decided to go with us so we all left about 9:20 in two cars and drove down. We like to take two cars because the men are usually wanting to leave before the rest of us, so it seems to work better that way.
Larry and Ken went to Dr. Castro's office as Larry wants to talk to her about the crown she placed on his implant earlier this year. He thinks it should be larger than the one she put on. I asked him for a week if he was going to try to see her and if so to call for an appointment but of course, because his name is Larry Stafford, he thinks they will just drop everything and work him in!!!
I walked to Dr. Garcia's and Jan and Judy went to shop. I finished with my appointment and was suppose to meet the guys at El Gourmet but when I walked by they were not there. I walked on to Dr. Castro's office and they were just calling Larry in to see the doctor when I got there. Ken and I sat outside in the courtyard and waited for him to come out. When he was done we walked to El Gourmet but Ken and Larry thought the music was too loud so we went to El Paradios instead. We called Jan and Judy to let them know where we were and they came to meet us there. We drank a couple of beer and no one liked the menu for lunch so we ended up going back to El Gourmet. Of course my man Jose(the waiter) was very happy to see us as well as Brenda, the dancing waitress. We drank more beer and ordered sandwiches for lunch. We ended up staying about 2 hours and went to get in the massive line for the border. It was really hot again today so by the time we got across the border to the car I felt like I'd stepped out of the shower.
Ken, Judy and Jan walked to their car and we found ours and when we drove out of the parking lot, I thought they were ahead of us but never did see them again on the way home. Found out they had a flat tire when they got to their car and drove it into Yuma to have it repaired. I felt terrible that we didn't know they were having problems. Judy said she thinks they might have picked up a nail over on our street here in the resort. One of the guys we were parked by last year bought an older 5th Wheel and is ripping everything out of it to remodel so he has been dragging the wood and junk up the street to the dumpster. I wouldn't be surprised if she did get the nail here as she has driven me home a few times in the past few days.
I do feel better I think today. I have not been coughing nearly as much as before and feel like I have a bit more energy. Hopefully the shots I got yesterday are going to help me kick whatever I seem to have.
