Monday March 11 2013

When I got up this morning, I just couldn't get moving. I feel as exhausted when I get up as when I go to bed. I cough all night long so don't get a lot of sleep. I laid around for the first two hours this morning trying to get the energy to get a shower. Jan and Judy came down with their bikes and when they found I wasn't feeling well said they would ride alone. I decided I might feel better if I got up and went with them. We rode for quite awhile around the resort and when I came home I felt worse than I did when I got up. I made myself get a shower and by the time I was finished, decided today was the day to go to the doctor. I had an ear ache when I got up today, which I've had off and on for the past couple of weeks. When I got dressed I told Larry I was going over to the Urgent Care which is just across the highway. When I got to the Urgent Care, the waiting room was packed. I checked in and waited more than an hour to see the doctor. When he checked me out he said I had a perforated ear drum and he could see Pollen Spurs in my ear??? HMM--guess that is part of allergy. He gave me a shot and prescribed Amoxicillin, nose spray and Mucinex to take for the next 10 days. He could not believe I had been suffering for two months with this. I think I am going to check with an allergist when I get home and have some tests done so I can get shots before coming back here next year. The last 3 years I have had very bad allergies when I get to Arizona. I think it's the dust in the air as well as all the blooming vegetation that upsets my system. By the time I left the clinic, I had spent 2 1/2 hours there. I still had to go to the pharmacy to pick up my medication. By the time I got home I was exhausted and had a horrible headache. I ended up going to bed and slept for the afternoon. I got up around 5:30 and watched the news but was back in bed by 8:30. I hope the medications kick this soon as it is really dragging me down.
