Today is our last day in Yuma. We worked outside packing up everything this morning. Evelyn, our neighbor next door, came over and told us that her husband, Wayne, went into the hospital yesterday with chest pains. They are Canadian but buy health insurance to cover them while in the US but they told Wayne he needs an Angioplasty and a Stint so they don't think their insurance will cover it if done here. They are talking about medivacing him to Calgary to do the procedure there. Evelyn said if they take him to Calgary, she is staying here to close the RV up and then will drive their truck and follow some of their friends that are leaving on Friday. They will be making a decision on Wayne probably today. Got an Email from Judy Jackson. They left on Sunday for Powell River, BC, Canada, which is where their home is. They were in upper California when she sent the email. She said the weather was getting cooler and jeans would be in order for today's travel. We ran errands picking up items we will need while traveling, groceries, etc. When we came home several of the neighbors came over to say goodbye. Cynthia and Doris both stopped and talked quite awhile and David came by in the golf cart and talked for awhile. Evelyn came home and said they are flying Wayne to Calgary for surgery tomorrow morning at 9:00am. She is staying to close up the camper and driving their truck back, following some of their friends that will be leaving in the next few days. It was hot again today. I think I am ready to move on to a little cooler weather. Not sure I'm ready for the snow but California should be somewhere in between on the weather.
