I got up this morning and couldn't wait to do my housework and get a shower. I was so hot yesterday and should have showered again before bed but exhaustion overruled.
We decided to go to the flea market today as it has been a month since we were there. I had several paperback books to trade in and we both needed more reading material. We went to the outdoor market which is the larger of the flea markets and they have a large used book store. We found the book store and turned in our old books and found several new ones.
We continued shopping and then had a corn dog and a beer to cool off. The temperature is horribly hot today. It is about 87 degrees and not much of a wind. Won't be much longer until I will be ready to 'blow' Arizona because it will be getting very warm in the next few weeks. From what our girls tell us, it is still very cold in Illinois but we plan to head over to California along the coast so I'm sure it will be cooler there.
We both shopped a little after finishing our beer. I found a T-shirt for Jan that I thought was funny. It said 1 drink, 2 drinks, 3 drinks, FLOOR! Jan is not much of a drinker. She had 2 margarita's Friday in Mexico and was feeling pretty good. I have only seen Jan drunk once and it was about 5 weeks ago when her and her sister Pat showed up at our door demanding wine. They had had so much wine before arriving at our door, I don't know how they walked the block from Ken and Judy's house over here. She and Pat then proceeded to help me drink another liter and a half of wine after arriving. I found another T-shirt for Judy that said 'Party Girl'---NOT! Judy rarely drinks much so I felt was fitting for her. I bought Ken a beer cozy that said Old Men Rule. I also bought a wind chime about 2 weeks ago for them. I plan to give them these gifts on Ken and Judy's 50th Anniversary which is Saturday March 9. They have been so good to us ever since we have known them and would do anything for us so, I just wanted to get them something small.
We came home and it was so hot I thought I was going to pass out. Couldn't decide if it was cooler inside our outside. It was so late in the day I didn't want to turn on the air. About 5:00 it gets cool enough for a sweatshirt so decided to tough it out.
Larry grilled a steak and salmon on grill and I made a salad and baked potato. Not very imaginative but good enough. I hate cooking when it gets hot. Tomorrow is to be even hotter. I have a week of laundry to do so I will be turning on the air if it is as hot as today.
