As expected, snow fell last night and we planned to leave for Arizonia today!!! It seems to happen every year on the night before we leave. We waited awhile this morning for the streets to be cleared before trying to make our escape. While waiting we called Oliver to sing Happy Birthday as today is his 1st Birthday. How fast he has grown! We celebrated his birthday earlier before Morgan and Addison had to return to school from the holidays. I am so blessed to have three wonderful grandchildren! They are the light of my life!!
We got showers and packed a few last minute items and around 10:00 we loaded the cats in the car to head for the RV. On the way over decided we needed to go by Kroger and pick up some gallon jugs of water since we will not be filling the water tanks till we reach warmer weather.
With the cats in tow, we drove to Kroger and I made the comment how surprised I am that Raven is handleing the car ride. There was no hissing or growling and no foaming at the mouth. Arrived at Kroger and Larry went in to get the water and I sat in the car with the cats. The whole time we sat there, Raven seems to be enjoying watching people walking by in the parking lot and he seems very content. Soon I notice he's drooling down the door of the car so I grab some paper towels to catch the flood of saliva coming from his mouth. As we sat there he still is not howling or acting strange other than the drooling mess coming from his mouth. Larry returned to the car and we drove back to motor home to load the rest of our items and get the car loaded. Just as we pull next to the RV, out came a horrible gush from Raven and it came out with such force that it went all over Larry, myself and the car. The entire contents of his stomach came gushing forth. My car was filled with barf and even had it on the windshield!!! WOW I should not be surprised as this is what happens every year when we get ready to leave. Larry started the motor home to let it warm up and I spent 30 minutes trying to clean the mess in the car and on my cloths. Such a wonderful start to our trip!
We drove to Marshfield, Mo and stayed at RV Express 66 Campground. We stayed here about 3 or 4 years ago overnight and drove up to Camdenton to see Cathy Henkins. It's very nice and easy to get into and only has about 15 to 20 sites.
